Why do I misspell "Ki Rin"?

Back when I was a kid playing Asteroids in the local saloon, I used to put up "RYN" for my initials on the high score screen because you only got three letters and "RYAN" wouldn't fit. When I stared using forums and found my first twenty choices of user name were invariably taken, I made up "Ki-Ryn". This later lead to Ki Ryn Studios when I needed a business name.

I first encountered the Ki Rin in the Dungeons & Dragons game and liked the idea of a "Japanese unicorn" as it is often described. In addition, it is an omen of good fortune that brings serenity and prosperity. The noble Kirin (aka "Qilin") is also part of Korean and Chinese culture, though it's probably best known these days as a brand of beer.

Note that I also mispronounce the word as rhyming with "I win".
I apologize to the purists out there - it's just the way I originally said it as a kid, and I'm too old to change at this point.
